EMB17S008 is an intelligent BMS, RS 485 communication protocols to show real time battery voltage,current,capacity (SOC).

Max can support 60A continuous discharge current for 7S to 17S lithium ion / Lifepo4 battery packs.

Parameters:

  1. Battery Compatibility: The BMS supports lithium battery packs with a configuration ranging from 7S to 17S. This flexibility allows it to be used with a variety of battery pack sizes and voltages, up to a maximum of 60V.
  2. Continuous Discharge: The BMS is capable of handling a continuous discharge current of up to 60A. This high discharge capability makes it suitable for applications that require significant power, such as electric motorcycles.
  3. Communication Interface: The BMS features an RS485 communication interface. This allows for communication and data exchange between the BMS and external devices, such as a Battery Management System Master or other control systems.
  4. Compact Size: The BMS has a compact size, measuring 66mm x 200mm. This compact form factor makes it easier to integrate into electric motorcycle battery systems or other space-constrained applications.

Functions:

  1. AFE Ti BQ Series + MCU: The BMS utilizes an Analog Front End (AFE) based on the Texas Instruments (TI) BQ series, along with a Microcontroller Unit (MCU). This combination of components ensures accurate monitoring and control of the battery pack.
  2. Parameters Adjustable: The BMS allows for adjustable parameters, providing flexibility in configuring the system to meet specific requirements. These adjustable parameters include voltage thresholds, current limits, and other protection parameters.
  3. SOC Fuel Gauge: The BMS features a State of Charge (SOC) fuel gauge, which provides an indication of the battery pack’s remaining capacity. This allows for better monitoring and estimation of the battery’s state of charge.
  4. State of Health (SOH): The BMS also provides a State of Health (SOH) indication, which gives an assessment of the battery pack’s overall health and performance.
  5. E-switch and Sleep Mode: The BMS includes an E-switch, allowing for convenient control of the battery pack’s power state. It also features a Sleep Mode, which helps conserve power when the system is in standby or not in use.
  6. Protection Features: The BMS incorporates various protection features to ensure the safety and longevity of the battery pack. These protections include high/low-temperature protection, over-current protection, over-voltage protection, low-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, and other fault protections.
